Day’s Run – June 8, 2015

What a busy day today has been! Once again we were able to sail with all sails set. This does require a fairly steady stream of sail handling in order to catch as much wind as possible. This, in turn, means the skill set of our trainees continues to improve. As we sailed into the mouth of Chesapeake Bay we were a curiosity for some, as much as another tall ship sailing by was for us.
SHIP’S WORK: The main ships work today was to send down for repair the foresail and then bend on a new one. This was a process which virtually everyone on board had a hand in completing.
